Salsa Guateque Re-design

Salsa
GUATEQUE
This proyect was a redisign for a product. I had to go to the store and pick a product which had areas of oportunity. A.K.A. was in need of a redisign.

The areas that I saw were in need or had these oportunities, where basically the color scheme, the wasted space in the label itself, and the use of too many fonts in it.

I remade the logo; using its old one and adding some new elements to it and used a single font for the writing in the label (Myriad Pro in regular and light). From that I made the shield that the logo is encased in

I desides to keep, or more so morph some elements of the old  label into others that would better show the kind of sauce that it is; from this I got the vertical seal, which holds to the top of the bottle.

Finally I made a couple of simple ilustration showcasing one of the cillys that the sauce is made of (called "chile puya" here in México) and added some textures to the background.
The nutritional information is in a smaller simple label in the back of the bottle.
The re-design that I worked with was, in all a simplistic retro design for the product.

This is the back label. As the front one holds mostly the logo and its various accessories this holds the nutritional information.
