Journey - The First Step
was the journey worth it?
This is an extremely enjoyable-doing independent comic!
It is based on the game "Journey", for PS3, and its all about the
concept of "Wonder" and "Exploration"
(if you don't have a PS3 you can check out the game here)
My idea was to give voice to the character and, without revealing
much of the story, explain to people who haven't played the game yet
what it is about: to live up to your Journeys in life.
We always have doubts, but we need the courage to explore the new,
and everything begins just the same: by the First Step

This is the full comic :). Bellow i will explain some of the details!
This Panel was based on the layout of the character's Scarf.
The Scarf plays a central part in the story, and as it is used as an energy source, so it its used to maintain the boxes.
The wind is a constant in the game. It shapes the land and the player with beautiful movements. So i decided to graphically represent it, so that the comics could have a similar feel as the game.
This transitions represent the character returning to reality from his thoughts and fears.
To represent that the elements were adjusted in a similar position.
Little Spoiler
The reason i kept the second avatar in the shadows is to make the reader wonder: Will i find a NPC?
Is it a player? Is that part of the story?
One of the funs of the game is discovering that another Human Being
may just pop in inside your playthough. (sorry for that spoiler though!)
The end of the comic is the beginning of the game. After the first step, the journey begins.
