Washington State's Forgeron Cellars was in need of a successful 2nd label wine offering. Their strategy was to develop a mid-priced red table wine, along with a Chardonnay, that appealed to Northwest palates.
The design challenge was to communicate the winemakers passion in crafting a drinkable and affordable wine. The inspiration of the design was captured while watching a farrier fashion a red-hot strip of crude metal into a beautiful and functional object.
The label was printed on a metallic foil label stock. The inkset is two oranges, two blacks, and a spot matte varnish.
