Wall Street Journal - Commissioned Illustrations
Two drawings were commissioned on my behalf. One of the illustrations had to describe The Wall Street Journal coming to China. And the other illustration as a small advertisement for Audemars Piguet a luxury Swiss watch manufacture.
They wanted very simple shapes and ideas that represented their narrative and advertisements. This was the first ever published (1st issue) that Wall Street Journal released in China.

These were other variations that I illustrated for the magazine. That they ultimately used. The challenge was removing enough detail to fit the spreads as a more ambiguous illustration.
