Graduation of an Ecologist

My friend Kai Ren is a graduating ecologist. Naturally, I've been talking to Kai Ren for the past couple of days, and don't get him wrong, he's a bright person with a sharp mind, with a really large heart for the people around him, but even with good intentions and things going for him, he had uncertainties for future ecologists like himself in the current Malaysian landscape to continue the ecology practices from their tertiary studies, as there are very limited interests coming from businesses to invest in the very environment they establish their institutions on. I personally don't know everything, and probably not enough, about the world of ecology, but what I know is that the world right now direly needs these people as professionals in a state that gradually becomes bleaker and bleaker. We don't need a local Greta Thunberg, but we do need a lot of people like Kai Ren, and we need to support the work of people like Kai Ren, and I think that's the least we can do in this 2019-era society.
