The white paper features the mathematical biology community in the Philippines, specifically the current trends in the field and the efforts of the research community here in the country. It also gives an insight to the challenges and the future of mathematical biology research in the Philippines. Publishing the article also aimed to promote the International Workshop on Mathematical Biology 2020 among the scholarly community.

Aside from co-authoring the paper with internationally recognized mathematical biology scientists and researchers, I also prepared the initial framework of the draft which was presented to the organizing committee of the conference.
