In September 2010, "Six Years Later", a newly-formed Australian magazine contacted me for their first issue and asked if I would be interested to send them some of my work since the theme of the issue would be 'consumerism'. At first, I thought about sending them some pages from my book, but the format was completely different so I decided to do something new. I prepared a design consisting of three spreads, titled "Understanding Consumerism", and focused on the effects of consumerism on three aspects; namely, The Rich, The Poor and Nature. I used the existing information from my previous research.
At the end, these spreads haven't been used because of the limited space the magazine had. But I still wondered how they would look once printed, and prepared these mock-ups.
The final magazine includes my poster instead (as well as brilliant artwork from 47 other artists) and it is awesome. I think you should buy one right now!
