Life.
Ubiquitous, chronic ailment of which very little is actually known. Doctors generally advise that it be allowed to run its course, even though death is to be expected in 100% of cases.
While scientists agree that more research is the answer, billions of dollars are already expended annually to combat the rising tide of infection – trillions, if military applications are considered.

Some researchers, citing the OPPC (oz. of prev. vs. lb. of cure) axiom, maintain that prevention is the only viable strategy. However, that argument is roundly rejected by those who contend that any such program could risk the pre-emption of an individual otherwise fated to discover the elusive cure.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organization predicts that the number of people afflicted will soon rise to seven billion.

The Instant and the Eternal - 2010
“A single atom can exist for many billions of years – theoretically, for as long as the universe will. Such is the perfectly profound state of its integral unity. And yet, simple man, whose life is briefer than a moment in comparison, conflicted and contrasted as he is, can muster the understanding necessary to shatter such harmony in an instant even shorter than the universe's experience of him.”
Riddle 31 - 2010
Old widow Peabody was mortified when, in making an adjustment to the time on her precious grandfather clock, she inadvertently snapped the minute hand in two. A friend recommended an antique shop that carried all the parts for the same model clock. She visited there but returned disappointed. Why?

You're a beautiful person inside
such a beautiful person inside
So, wear your insides on your outside
and you just won't believe
what wearing your heart on your sleeve can do
Wear your insides on your outside
and everyone will be in love with you
~
Now don't be so clandestine
Show off some intestine
and everyone will be in love with you

We dare to hope that war abates
And men cast off their precious hates.
Compassion whispers at the door,
But who can hear above the roar?
The world can't stand another round
Of breaking up and breaking down,
So silent go, and do your chore,
Let whispers of compassion soar.

Proving Uncertainty - 2009
A simple dimensional solution for Heisenberg's uncertainty principle:
The absolute Position of a particle can be determined in 3d (xyz) space, but its Behaviour (motion) must be evaluated in 4d (xyz+t) space. These two attributes (Position and Behaviour) can’t be known at the same “time” because that dimension (time) doesn't exist in 3d space. (The admitted exception to the ostensible conundrum is a particle at perfect rest in its 4d environment; in this case, motion is nil, and time is therefore obviated as a meaningful factor; i.e. 4d space would be indistinguishable from 3d space.)

Meanwhile… the momentum of a particle may only be known in a type of 5d (xyz+t+m) space.
