The essence of this quote is essentially what I wanted to capture in my work, “slow down.” The work consists of three factors - the outfits, the visuals, and the models. Many of the clothes used in the video were from vintage and charity stores in effort to be eco-friendly. The hallucinogenic visuals that are projected onto the models were inspired by three elements of nature: air, water, and earth. The increasing pace of outfit changes and visuals eventually create a pandemonium of vibrant colours that ultimately symbolises environmental hazard and confusion of our own values and identity for the models. What I hope that the audience takes away from the video is that it is okay to slow down. It is okay to take time to retrace our steps and go back to what fashion is really about: our conscious values and self-empowerment.
