I changed up my illustration style recently as my artistic influences had changed, and decided to showcase it by illustrating what I dubbed as the "grape BTS series". K-pop idols often change their hair color and this was influenced by one member from BTS, Jin, when he unexpectedly colored his hair purple for one of their shows. Purple is personally one of my favorite colors, and it's a color that has, in recent years, been associated with BTS by their use of  💜 on social media as well as their dubbing of the phrase "I love you" to "I purple you". The use and significance of purple was initially explained by V when he said, "Purple is the last color of the rainbow colors. Purple means I will trust and love you for a long time,". For that reason, I thought I would do individual portraits as well as a group photo where all members have purple hair. The characters/graphics displayed on each individual's portrait is of the character they designed for a side brand, BT21. In the group photo, the colors each member is wearing is reflective of each member's character's primary colors.
