Initially began as a study on the seated figure, but eventually evolved into an experimentation of incorporating multiple subjects and textures into one scene. Called 'Frustration Monarchical', it is an allusion to the tugging and suffocating thoughts and obstacles one can find within their own mind that cause overthinking, hesitation and anxiety. For this I initially wanted to create a black and white illustration but then decided to try out color layering in Photoshop, with the three images showing the three main steps in my progress.
