SCORPION INK is a project made in 2019 while studying Graphic Design at Aula Creactiva.
The goal was to design a logo for Socorpion Ink, a Blackout tattoo studio that will open soon in Barcelona. Barcelona is a city with a wide range of tattoo studios, so it was really important for Scorpion Ink to differentiate itself to attract the attention of its target audience.
The client's requirements were the following: Scorpion Ink is black, ink, elegant and serious. So I focused on three main elements: The scorpion's tail as the princpal part of it's body, the tattoo needle that injects the ink in the skin and the Blackout poetry.
Combining these elements I reached the idea where it's possible an analogy between a Scorpion's bite and the prick of the Tattoo pen. Blackout poetry concept was crucial to close the claim: "Ink Bites".
