ASSIGNMENT
For the third number of “Suq” we tell a story made up of images and texts, exploring the area of Capo Milazzo through the field survey experience.
SOLUTION
I chose to illustrate the story, by Pierluigi Bizzini, using an analog-style look and feel, this constrained me to be concentrate on fewer elements, focusing on the simplicity of the lines in the subjects and opting for a duotone color palette that emphasizes and creates the fictional around the story.
HOW
In order to explore the Capo Milazzo area, we went on a two-day camping experience around the peninsula, learning the history and myths of this part of Sicily, directly from the locals.
This place, dominated by the strong wind and the wild sea that undermines the land, hide a multitude of stories ready to be told.
