CHALLENGE
Email is one of the most effective channels to reach our users, especially for important information, yet only a small percent had verified their email addresses.
SOLUTION
A unified user experience that allows you to resend a verification email or update your primary email address.
I worked closely with engineering to prototype and develop modular components that are built once and can easily be re-used for different apps.
HOW IT WORKS
Users will see a screen that gives a quick explanation about email verification. They can confirm, or update their email address. They can also resend a verification email if it's expired. It's easy to contact support, or dismiss the screen and continue to home.
RESULTS
As a result of implementing the interstitial, 18 million users are projected to verify their email address in 2019. We plan to further test and experiment with alternative copy.
