Navrattan Group's SUNSUL Technology
SUNSUL is an innovative technology introduced for the first time in India. It is a mega green power project based on solar energy. The product is an Eco-friendly self-looped motor generator which is able to provide continuous electricity support without polluting the environment. It is a far-sighted initiative brought alive to build the foundations of greener and cleaner tomorrow.
SUNSUL Technology can produce incredible amounts of electricity without a constant feed stock of fossil fuels, atomic energy or hydro powered means. It can recycle its own energy feed stock in a self-looped system.
How the SUNSUL power station works:
1. The system operates using S8, an industrial waste material.
2. Heat generated from solar heat collector converts this S8 into S2 which in turn releases immense amount of energy.
3. This energy creates extreme high heat of approx. 900 degree Celsius.
4. High temperature piping transfers this massive heat to water and the steam thus produced runs the turbines and the generator.
5. The Sulphur used in the system cools down very slowly and the system can thus produce power even after the sunset.
Some of the various advantages of the SUNSUL technology are:
1. The main energy generating chemical is Sulphur which can reach high temperatures resulting in more efficiency and capacity factor.
2. One time filling process makes it convenient for operation and use, as at the end of the cycle S2 becomes S8 again, restarting the action all over again.
3. Compared to traditional Thermo Solar, Sulphur is environment friendly and does not damage system parts whereas both salted water & oil are not only harmful to the environment but also to the system as it results in corrosion, deposition etc.
4. The system can also operate as an open system where S2 can be taken out and sold to the rubber industry at a good price, in which case S8, which is an industrial waste material, will need to be refilled again.
5. The technology is 40% more efficient than conventional ways of energy generation.
