Art & Creativity Festival for Children

Wonderland festival is an annual event which brings together Polish and Hungarian culture. This year the main subject was folklore. The organisers set out to represent the similarities and differences in Hungarian and Polish folktales through contemporary illustration and design. My task was to design the visual identity for the festival including the logo, poster, brochure, online media and exhibition design.

The visual identity for the festival was heavily inspired by fables. I used classic folklore motifs found in Hungarian and Polish tales alike on the poster and brochure. The festival logo and exhibition title are also designed and hand lettered by me.

The concept for the exhibition space was to bring the Magical Forest to Budapest. The exhibition featured 100 illustrations and design objects of Hungarian and Polish artists. Besides the exhibition the room was an interactive playground where children could play, draw, read and create in an enchanted environment.

For the exhibition I designed wall decorations and four characters which were printed as cardboard figures. The characters are: The Magic Stag, Rumpelstilskin, Oakripper and The Flower of the Fern.
