Personal project that got me into Mexico's #1 agency

Back in 2018 I had a clear but tricky brief: get a job in one of the best ranked advertising agencies in Mexico in that moment: Y&R (now Y&RVML). Since a the traditional way wouldn't get their attention, I went further and made a self-promotion stunt.

Noticing that their website was down, I designed and got up on the web a temporary website, featuring the agency's info, and sneaking in my own.
I tweeted the agency's president, their creative VP and the head of art. Within two hours of having uploaded the webpage, I had an interview proposal, and weeks later, a job as their new Associate Creative Director at the Mexico City offices.
And Twitter and the people did their thing, spreading my temporary webpage and some of the most important media outlets like Merca 2.0, Ad Latina by Ad Age, Expansión and many others, covered the case, making my idea earn at list $200,000 in media without even being a brand campaign and having spent $0 on media or exposure myself.
Here you can see the website I built for my self-promotion campaign, since the original domain yrtemporal.com is no longer up.
