Features of the GCI Outdoor PackSeat
The GCI Outdoor PackSeat is made of powder-coated aluminum poles with a polyester seat. It also has an additional support at the bottom of the legs to keep them from spreading apart under your weight.
It weighs in at 26 oz. and can support up to 250 lbs. When it’s set up the seat sits right around 20″ tall which is several inches taller than many of the foldable chairs out there.
A carabiner on the outside of the carrying case allows you to attach it to a wide range of items.

The legs snap together easily and are held together with bungee cord. Set up takes around 10 seconds and packing it back up is just about as fast.
Pros
What I really like about the GCI Outdoor PackSeat Portable Stool is how easy it is to get set up. Just pop open the bag, let the legs extend and then spread them apart. That’s all there is to it.
The height of the stool is really nice as well. 20″ doesn’t seem like much but it’s a lot better than the 15″ that a lot of other brands provide. Overall, it’s a really comfortable stool.

Cons
The only thing that slightly holds the GCI PackSeat back is the construction of the feet. Rather than having flat bottoms they just have simple rubber feet on the bottoms of the legs. This makes the stool prone to sinking in areas that are soft.
