Have you noticed the sticker craze going on? People have stickers on their water bottles, lap tops, and notebooks! I decided to jump on the band wagon. This project was for anyone who loves a good old creative sticker. I wanted to create three stickers with some personality, humor, and spunk.

I began by sketching numerous ideas. I started off with some basic sketches to get my creative juices flowing. Eventually I settled on three different ideas, but one of them proved to be trickier than I expected. 

Prepare to laugh. Below is an image of my first attempt at create a squirrel (minus the tail) in comparison to my 100th attempt. Alright, alright. It wasn’t quite 100, but close! 

Some helpful feedback led me to realize that my first attempt was way off and I had to go back to the drawing board. I looked at some photos of squirrels and had to ask myself what really made a squirrel look like a squirrel. I changed up his position and emphasized his legs and tail! It made all the difference.

All in all, I am thrilled with the final pieces! They are fun, creative, and quirky. The idea of a "fish out of water” and a squirrel scuba diving are sure to make people look twice, but there is a deeper message. We should all strive to do what we really want, even when it might not be what’s expected of us. I believe that they will live happily on someones laptop or water bottle for many weeks to come!
