This is a poster I designed for the Pride Issue of GCN magazine. I entered this to an open call for work relating to the theme 'Rainbow Revolution' which is the theme for the Dublin Pride Festival 2019.

I used the pink triangle motif as the centrepiece of the poster because I was inspired and the way it has been used, redefined and reused as part of the LGBT+ movement. The base iso grid is used to define a series of separate images that capture the smaller, personal moments that were and in some situations still are acts of rebellion. These kinds of moments and the broader narrative they describe are what I associate with Pride. The suggestion of extruded forms is a reference to the urban landscape through which the Pride flag wraps like a parade or march through the streets.
