An illustrated and animated book trailer for The Hobbit, by J.R.R Tolkien. This was an experiment in using more detailed illustrations in animation, I sought to introduce the premise of the story with the introduction to the dwarves of Erebor and Smaug, the dragon. Within the book trailer, there is a mix of both frame-by-frame animation and tween animation, done in AfterEffects.
