Charging Cradle Design for 'Seed'
'Seed' is an assistance device helping users to have good posture with sensors and smartphone application. This device is made by Bodit of Korea, and they named it as 'Seed,' which means the starting point to upright posture. Because its name and shape is very interesting for us, we decided to make the charging cradle using the concepts, so we focused on the shape of flower pots.
This charger is made of three plastic parts: the brown part represents the soil, and electric terminals are inserted. the white part means a flower pot.
Because the body product itself had an LED on its face, this cradle device was designed to use the LED as its indicator.
As the flower pots have saucers on the bottom, this device also have them for more stability.
This product earned 3,627,600円(USD $33,800) on Japan from 'Makuake,' the Japanese crowdfunding service.
