UFO MUSEUM - Museum Identity & Exhibition Design

The UFO MUSEUM is located in Roswell, New Mexico, United States, in the downtown district and is focused largely on the 1947 Roswell Crash and later supposed UFO incidents in the United States and elsewhere. Identifying unidentified flying objects is a difficult task due to the normally poor quality of the evidence provided by those who report sighting the unknown object. When Project Blue Book closed down in 1970, only 6% of all cases were classified as being truly unidentified. This led me to brand the whole identity using the Blue Book as a major reference. I created a tilted, revolving logotype that represents a flying saucer.

This is a continuous project on the UFO Museum identity where it focuses on the branding in a major exhibition to be held at the UFO Museum. While I pulled both the blue hues from the Blue Book as the museum’s brand color, I wanted to go for an icky green that resembles the extraterrestrial life for the exhibition.
