These side tables for typographic obsessives were inspired by the load-bearing, structural forms of Japanese kanji. They can be read & used horizontally or as a vertical stack. Higashi (東 – east) and nishi (西 – west) also form the compound word tozai (東西), meaning the wider world.

Format: CNC router cut, hand glued & finished in Scandinavian oil & beeswax
each table 500x500x230mm, hardwood plywood & food-safe glue.
