This self-contained step & repeat was another pre-existing Zumanity exhibit that needed serious updating. I came up with this illusion-based concept that featured a photo of the show cast posted at a 90 degrees to the right and an overhead pole for guests to hold onto. When a photo is taken and rotated backward by 90 degrees, the guest appears to be performing the “flag” acrobatic pose. As part of my concept, I requested invisible plexiglass on the front and back of the pole to prevent guests from attempting any actual acrobatics, and created visual how-to’s that were posted on the inside and outside of the box.
