Cycling West Africa - Part 2
Dakhla to Dakar
West Africa en Vélo is a long distance cycling tour organized by TDA Global Cycling. The participants cycle 6220km, for 3 months, from the famous city Casablanca, Morocco to the colorful city of Cape Coast, Ghana. Passing through 7 countries this is both physically and psychologically challenging. I was hired to document the journey of the cyclists, climbing up the Atlas Mountains, passing through the Mauritanian desserts and pedaling their way through the lush jungles of Guinea and many more.

In this second part, we continue our journey through Sourthern Morocco, slowly getting inland to the deserts of Mauritania. We see the World's longest train passing next to us, carrying tons of Iron through West Africa. After long days with significant head winds we finally make our way to Senegal, with a day cycling through the beach. As we study the tides and make sure it's good to go, the sand becomes like concrete and allows us to enjoy the ways swirling in front of us. We finish this section in Dakar, the city that offers all.
