An edit/moodboard for my original character Rayleigh Druella Lestrange, based in the Harry Potter universe as created by JK Rowling; Rayleigh was the daughter of Bellatrix and Rodolphus Lestrange sister to Delphini, a student at the Durmstrang Institute until 1994/1995 when she was initiated as a Deatheater. She is named after Druella Black, her maternal grandmother and Rabastan Lestrange, her paternal uncle. She was present among those who witnessed her cousin Draco Malfoy’s own initiation, and died beside her mother during the Battle Of Hogwarts in 1998, killed by Molly Weasley. She had a difficult relationship with her parents and whilst she believed in the pureblood ideology alongside her family, it’s unlikely this was of her own accord; despite dying her hair various colours and taking on different identities to further the cause, it is said that she resembled her mother in terms of her physicality and facial features, and had her father’s mind, noting that she rarely smiled and was willing to use the Dark Arts as a means to an end. With her death, the Lestrange family became extinct in the female line, though it’s not known what happened to her father after 2020 upon informing her sister of her heritage and destiny, as he did not appear to be involved in Delphini’s plans to use Albus Potter to bring Lord Voldemort back.
