“Rookie Violet” is my DJ name, which became the driving concept behind this personal art project. A mysterious alter-ego, a colour palette constraint, and endless tongue-in-cheek superhero themes all tie in perfectly. Each time I make a mixtape, I create cover art that looks like it could double as a graphic novel. My mixes usually follow a mood or theme to complete the story.
