The You're Next Career Network

The You're Next Career Network is a professional development hub at the University of Toronto that connects students with industry professionals, faculty, and alumni to help realize their career dreams. You're Next is comprised of three main initiatives:

The Startup Career Hub - bringing together startups and students passionate about the startup industry
Launchpad - year-long series of professional development events
Career Fair - largest student-run career fair in Canada targeting medium to large size companies
The Startup Career Expo started in 2012 and brought together over 35 companies from across North America to network with University of Toronto students passionate about the startup space.

The theme for SCE this year was games. The SCE team t-shirts featured a Tetris front with a simple YNCN logo on the back.
The You're Next Career Network employed a social media strategy that reached out to students using a Facebook page and a Twitter account that connected with current and future company partners.

The Startup Career Expo hosted a number of Tech Talks in parallel with the Expo on October 11, 2012. The tech talks covered a variety of topics to engage students with a variety of different interests.
This banner was printed and hung up in the lobby of the Bahen Centre of Information Technology at the University of Toronto St. George campus.
Following through with the game theme, the SCE guidebook featured a rather colorful Pacman.
In order to promote the You're Next Career Network and our largest student-run career fair yet (the Career Fair brought out over 80 companies this year), I was responsible for directing and producing a series of videos. This video was a spoof of the Danish Midttrafik bus ad and released a week prior to the Career Fair that took place on January 18, 2013.
DISCLAIMER: I realize that the YNCN logo looks very similar to the new Windows logo, but I created the YNCN logo before the new Windows logo came out in August 2012. The entire You're Next team was involved in the brand and identity process and the making of the brandbook in March 2012, which still serves to maintain cohesiveness of the You're Next branding.
