Mission: The Camden YMCA mission is to bridge the gap between the existing community and the rising corporate presence in Camden, New Jersey. Companies are designing and building real estate in Camden recently, leading to possibilities of gentrification. The low -income neighborhood currently does not have a YMCA and could benefit from such a facility, especially in the waterfront area. The YMCA will bring opportunity and enjoyment to a community who desperately needs it. It will give a chance for youth to grow, parents to thrive, and the community to improve their overall health physically, mentally, and socially.

Concept: The Camden YMCA aims to connect the community through gathering spaces, motivational decor accents, and flowing circulation. These provide opportunities for community members too better their lives through bridging gaps between social and economic differences through shared, colorfully designed spaces that focus on collaboration and knowledge.
