Frank Stella and Synagogues of Historic Poland exhibition catalogue
A meeting with the work of an artist commonly considered to be one of the most important American artists of the 20th century took place at the Polin Museum (19.02 - 20.06.2016). Artur Tanikowski, curator of the exhibition, made sure that besides the works of the New York artist, one could also learn about the fascinating history of their creation. The catalogue reflects the shape of the exhibition by juxtaposing Stella's sources of inspiration – pre-war photographs and inventory drawings of synagogues – with a series of works from the "Polish Towns" series.
