In a way to use the concept of evaporation to visualize the passing of time, I made a calendar that graphically shows the process and the results of evaporation through color saturation. I experimented with the idea that as evaporation occurs, liquids reduce and become more concentrated, therefore the same concept will stay true in colored liquids. I created a 60 day calendar, a strip for each day, that shows the direct relationship between the saturation of color and the amount of liquid leftover. As each day passes, the liquid level decreases and the color becomes more pure.
Using the system of a fan, the calendar can be folded and unfolded out to a complete circle, where the progression of the color can be seen clearly.
