Mark Neville
Mark Neville is a photographer who investigates the social function of photography, often working with close knit communities to make the town or people the primary audience of his work.
His body of work called child's play seeks to focus attention on the attitudes towards play within the UK; it shows an urge for the re-introduction of a new national play strategy which halts the closing of playgrounds and defends children's rights to play.
Much like 'Bedrooms of London' child's play shows the affect of cuts to things that are deemed 'unnecessary' such as playgrounds, which in actual fact are crucial to a Childs development.
It's shocking again to know that children are being denied something that will help their development and in a way are being forced to grow up quicker and be more reliant on technology to keep them entertained
