🏷️ 4 Grayscale Mechanical Pencils

Another pencil library, except this time the lines are perfectly straight and a bit cleaner.

Only a uniform line cap profile is included. But if you want to get a bit more line variation, then apply a little pressure, since all brushes have slight pressure sensitivity.

These particular brushes only work in grayscale mode and may not be colorized.

🏷️ 5 Macro Grainy Noise Shading Brushes

These are five grain shading brushes that are specifically designed for macro-level scenes. They are perfect for when you need to add an overall texture to your artwork. You could, for example, add a neat background noise or make the whole illustration look vintage easily with just a few strokes. This works much like a pattern overlay, but it allows you to control the actual pattern by “drawing” it yourself.

🏷️ 8 Grayscale Graphite Pencils

Hand-drawn brushes that simulate realistic pencil behavior. Two line cap profile are available in this library: uniform and tapering. Pressure sensitive!

🏷️ 15 Essential Grainy Noise Shading Brushes

This set contains fifteen round brushes with a flat tip, which produces a uniform and equally distributed grit patterned stroke. Emphasis was put on randomness when designing these brushes and the desired effect was to get a softer edge when drawing, while still be able to offer solid density.

🏷️ 18 Artist Grainy Noise Shading Brushes

This is my personal favorite set of the bunch and it includes eighteen shading brushes divided into three size classes.

Consistency takes higher priority in this set but not at the expense of randomness. All brushes are completely unique and they generate random non-repeating noise patterns. But this time the brushes are significantly more distinguishable from each other.

🏷️ 20 Calligraphy Brushes

While there is already a calligraphy brush preset available in Illustrator, I have made my own and then I organized them according to size classes.

There are four brush profiles that were made by using real life parameters in an attempt to make them act as realistically as possible. As with all other brush libraries in the pack, these brushes come with pre-defined size iterations (5pt / 10pt / 15pt / 20pt / 25pt).

The brush tips are rotated to the following angles: 30, 40, 45 and 0 (horizontal) degrees.

🏷️ 20 Featured Grainy Noise Shading Brushes

This set contains yet another library of noise shading brushes. However, you might notice a big difference in how they look. The reason being is that they were made using real images of dust particles that were vectorized and turned into brushes. There is no magical formula in the making of the patterns like with some of the other libraries. It is all completely random here.

Thus, there is no consistency or scaling factor in the density of the patterns. What you get is just a library of assorted uniform and edge diffuse shaders captured from real environment images.

🏷️ 20 Dynamic Watercolor Brushes

This is the last brush set of the Watercolor family and it is arguably the coolest one. If you are a digital artist, you are going to love this!

While the previous Watercolor brushes do not let you paint as you would in the real world, this one does just that!

🏷️ 20 Watercolor Scatter Brushes

High quality watercolor splatter brushes that can be colorized as you go.

This particular brush set is just a basic scatter type with a rotation range of 360 degrees. What this means is that the a single watercolor splatter is formed every particular distance along the path you created. Then that splatter is automatically and randomly rotated along the path for convenience. So how is this helpful?

Suppose you need to use a watercolor splatter for your project. What this library allows you to do is to grab a brush and generate a splatter as you draw. Just tap once on the artboard or draw a short line along to see randomly rotated watercolor pattern appear. Now you can use that splatter and place it anywhere you want. Mix them together, add colors, gradients and experiment with blending modes to get amazing combinations.

Kindly note that all three watercolor brush libraries feature the same splatter textures, except that they have been configured as different types of brushes and as a result they act differently.

🏷️ 20 Watercolor Art Brushes

Here instead of a scatter brush type, you get something called an Art brush type. This allows you to generate interesting splatters by having them automatically stretch across the entire length of the path.

Unlike the basic Scatter brushes which generate a fixed ratio of the texture, with this set you can get more variation and randomness by distorting a single pattern.

Yet another extremely powerful kit for digital artists that would like to experience a more intuitive way of illustrating.

The Bristle brush family is grouped into three libraries: Wet, Dry and Soft.

The Wet Bristle brushes appear very thick and soft. Opacity and stroke size varies across the entire set. Each brush has the following size presets: Small, Medium and Large.

This set is somewhat of a mix between the Wet and Dry brush libraries. You get brushes that are neither too dense, nor are they too rare.

🏷️ 25 Uniform Halftone Brushes

Really interesting brush library that allows you to lay down a dotted texture that reminds of vintage poster/comics illustrations.

You get a few line cap profiles with five sizes each.

Use these brushes with the help of masking. Or alternatively you can even expand the strokes and cut the pattern out to the needed shape.

🏷️ 25 Zigzag Halftone Brushes

This brush set is identical to the Uniform Halftone brush library in every way, except that the texture is arranged in a zigzag order. All other brush properties are exactly the same.

🏷️ 30 Deluxe Grainy Noise Shading Brushes

This is a massive set containing thirty noise shading brushes divided into two categories depending on the tip of the brush. In addition to the uniform noise pattern brushes, this set also includes a pointy brush type that generates a sharper stroke. If you were to draw a curve, you will notice that the pattern becomes denser towards the center of the path, forming a thick and visible line. I also call these “edge diffuse” shading brushes.

These pointy brushes are especially useful for when you need to lay down very thick shadows or you want to intentionally add “imperfections” by using cross hatching or similar techniques.

And last but not least, you would typically use these “edge diffuse” shaders to make the edge of a flat shadow appear blurred and jagged. Tips on how to do that in the instructions file that’s included with the pack.

🏷️ 45 Manga Lineart Brushes

This set gives you a good variety of highly pressure-sensitive brushes that may be used for lineart as well as hand lettering designs. Perfect set if you aim to draw manga or anime characters with decent line width variations to your strokes.

The set includes three brush profiles with 15 size presets (1pt – 15pt) already available for your convenience. And this should give you enough comfort to draw without messing with the stroke width yourself. But keep in mind that these brushes work with pressure sensitivity, so if you want to notice any line width variation, you should be using a graphics tablet.

🏷️ 129 Grunge Lineart Brushes

This huge set includes vintage style grunge lineart brushes with three pre-defined thickness profiles: Thin, Medium and Thick. The brush pattern themselves have a big variety of widths and noise texture applied to them.

Don’t be too overwhelmed by the high number of brushes. The reason for that is because some of them have been duplicated and flipped around to give you more control of the direction of the tapering. That way when you find yourself drawing a curve and the line thins out at the wrong direction, you can just grab the “flipped” brush for that profile and apply it. This will save you a ton of time and prevent you from messing up your artwork or the brush library.

These brushes are particularly useful if you strive to achieve a vintage book style lineart that does not have a uniform smooth line. Instead you would get a really nice “fuzzy” line that looks more hand drawn like the one you would get if you were to use a soft charcoal pencil.

🏷️ 168 Cross-Hatch Shading Brushes

In addition to the brush sets, you also get ten high quality dust and noise texture that were vectorized from real images of dust particles.

The patterns are conveniently available in .png, .pdf and .svg format. The resolution of the .png images is exported at four scales up to 20,000 × 14,000 px (ie. @1x, @2x, @3x and @4x). But if you want a scalable pattern without any loss in detail, you should always use the .svg files instead.
