This promotional poster was for a student film titled "Syrup" that a colleague of mine directed, produced, and wrote. This film was also entered into the Lipscomb University Film Festival, and this poster was on display at the event.

The design received a nomination for "Best Poster", while the film itself placed third for "Best Narrative" and first for "Best Screenplay".

The film is a 6-minute journey into one young woman's experience with verbal/emotional abuse, and how a past partner's words affect her long after the relationship's end. The poster needed to have elements that drew the viewer in, and the only request from the crew was that a mouth be incorporated somehow into the design.
