The prints are made by applying a even surface of relief ink on the surface of the linoleum plate, and placing it on a registration board. The surface for the print to appear (paper) is placed on top of the lino in a fixed position. After the position of the paper is fixed, an even pressure is applied, by passing it through a press machine. which is used in this case. It can also be done by hand by evenly applying pressure using a smooth bottomed glass, or a wooden spoon.  The paper is then removed slowly, with the image appearing in reverse.
