TRIBE MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL
Our week 5 brief for 1531QCA Making Visual Media was to create amendments to an original festival poster for the Tribe Music & Arts Festival for a client. There were a number of changes made to the clients original concept to better suit the image and vibe of the festival.

The changes requested from the brief were:
- A new header image that better represents the music/art scenes.
- Adding a colour to the background behind the text
- A change in some of the wording
Edited poster concept
The new hero image was chosen as this reflects elements of the arts/cultural scene as seen with the paint toss and the Japanese-styled model wearing a kimono. I've chosen black as the base colour for the poster which helps to create character and simplicity throughout, whilst drawing attention to the focal point of the main image. The black background also compliments the supporting images nicely.

As per the brief, the client also requested to not have images that represented stereotypical fesitval-goers, as the festival more overly represents cutural and creative vibes with most of the performing acts being female. Thus, I have slightly changed these images to convey this vibe through the poster.

Another request from the brief was to play around with a change of fonts and to create a logo for the festival to be placed onto the poster. I have updated the fonts to be more bold and prominent, and I have created a simple logo in Adobe Illustrator which contains three interlinked circles which can represent the elements of culture, music and art and are coloured for differentiation. The common place in the middle of these circles could be seen as the ultimate nirvana of human experiences. The letters TMAF are an abbreviation of the festival name (Tribe Music & Arts Festival).
