ANNECY | 100 Years in 100 Seconds

In the year of its 100th anniversary, the Brazilian animation industry received a special tribute at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, one of the most important animation events.

Starting with the pioneer 'Kaiser' by Álvaro Marins (1917) to Cuca, protagonist of "O Menino e o Mundo", this tribute was created by an incredible team of directors, animators and artists. This dynamic piece was made with several different techniques and materials: stop motion, traditional animation, CG, cut out, paper, gouache, origami etc. The paper plane symbolizes the journey of the most iconic Brazilian animation characters to Annecy, from short films, advertising, TV programs, Internet series and feature films.

No ano em que comemora 100 anos, a indústria brasileira de animação recebeu uma homenagem especial no Festival de Filmes de Animação de Annecy, um dos mais importantes eventos de animação.

Do pioneiro 'Kaiser' de Álvaro Marins (1917) ao Cuca, protagonista do filme 'O Menino e o Mundo', esta homenagem foi criada por um time incrível de diretores, animadores e artistas. Este filme foi realizado com várias técnicas e materiais diferentes: stop motion, animação tradicional, computação gráfica, papel, guache, origami, etc. O avião de papel simboliza a viagem dos personagens mais importantes da animação brasileira à Annecy, que estão presentes em curta-metragens, publicidade, programas de televisão, séries da internet e filmes.

I worked as an animation assistant for the "Kaiser" scene, responsible for organizing and animating all the paper frames. For the “Sinfonia Amazônica” scene, I worked as scenery and art assistant, making the paper plants and assembling them.

Participei do projeto como assistente de animação para a cena 'Kaiser', responsável por organizar e animar todos os frames de papel. E para a cena 'Sinfonia Amazônica', participei como assistente de set e arte, desenvolvendo as plantas e vegetações de papel.
