Introduction

Hangout aims to to bring more versatility to kitchens in smaller living spaces by using a multi-functional island. The mobility of this compact kitchen system helps it fit into more scenarios by altering kitchen layout while not taking up more space.
Why a compact kitchen?

Hangout didn’t start with a prompt like “design a compact kitchen”, but instead a question “how do I improve small living spaces”. Therefore it was a decision made based on findings after talking to people I know, who live in small or shared apartments.
