//ECHO | MICROPHONE CONCEPT
Originally, I was preparing for a tutorial for Miror - Design & Engineering on how to model a microphone grille using Siemens NX. During some quick shape exploration, I stumbled across a shape I felt like refining further. Things escalated (a lot) from there, and the tutorial itself was greatly postponed as I decided to pursue this design instead.
The narrow shape on the bottom half invites the user for an easy grip for potential positioning. Besides the aesthetic finish of smooth rubber and inlayed copper, the grip pads have an echoing pattern that is meant to emphasize this feeling, inviting the user to use this part to grip and position.
