Hokus Pokus is a 2D side-scroller plataform game made during a weekend for a college class.

The project is also a small tribute to the Apogee's 1992 Hocus Pocus, which is the source of sprites, music and sound effects for this incarnation of the game (the only exception being the portal from Diablo 1). By the time the project was done, there wasn't any tools that could extract some of those elements, so many of them are ripped manually from video recordings.

Art, music and sound effects are from Hocus Pocus (1992) by Apogee Software.
The portal sprite is from Diablo (1996) by Blizzard Entertainment.
The game has some replayability, since there are many hidden treasures and a crescent difficulty (reaching its peek in the last 2 levels).
