John 3:1-21

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”    John 3:3

                              Just as there were many who were appalled at him—
                  his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being
                                   and his form marred beyond human likeness—

                                        Restoring the broken

The spirit of the Lord God is upon me; Because the LORD hath anointed me To bring good tidings unto the humble; He hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the eyes to them that are bound; Isaiah 61:1

"Beloved, now are we the children of God, and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when he is revealed, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is."    1John 3:2

He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon." Amen. Come, LORD Jesus.  Revelation 22:20

Look, he is coming with the clouds," and "every eye will see him, even those who pierced him"; and all peoples on earth "will mourn because of him." So shall it be! Amen. Revelation 1:7

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. Revelation 19:11 ​​​​​​​

The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Revelation 19:14

The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.  John 1:14

*Painted him as Human and all God as he was, laughing, teaching, suffering and just being Jesus.

The woman said, "I know that Messiah" (called Christ) "is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us."     John 4:25

Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.The disciples went and woke him, saying, "LORD, save us! We're going to drown!" He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!" Matthew 8:23-27

*Jesus and his disciples enduring a storm at sea. Uniquely depicted from the vantage point of God, the raging tempest surrounds the group. Their terror is evident, with the exception of the sleeping Savior. Dave made sure that none of the disciples were looking inward at Jesus, but were transfixed by the perilous display of nature. Not only does the image convey a biblical account, it’s a convicting lesson: Even those of faith have a tendency to focus on the worries of life, when their deliverer is close enough to touch.
