It's A Wild World After All
This project was a huge growing experience for me. I really enjoyed putting in a lot of work and constantly refining my work. This project challenged me to be creative and really work the design each day. Our potential is limitless. We can always take time to learn new things, and incorporate our new skills with what we have already known.

I love music and the way that it speaks to me. I listened to GAWVI a lot which got me feeling really lose and helped me to generate a lot of cool ideas for this project. I get a lot of inspiration when I listen to good uplifting music. I wanted to go for something a little bit different, something out of this world.

So here was my first draft. It was rough. I had a general idea that I wanted a person and a world, but I wasn't really sure where to go from there. I kept listening to more good music and testing out different things.

My next phase was a lot better, and I was sure that I was already close to finishing. The whole time, something big felt like it was missing. I didn't like the look of he head turned sideways and thought that it would be way cooler to add an actual face. Adding texture really helped to make the scene look better, but I felt like the whole thing felt pretty bland

After a while I went in and started to add the words and form the face of a guy that I saw in a cool picture. It looked WAY better, but I wasn.'t totally happy with the result. I liked that the Earth was bigger and the face was real, but it wasn't feeling like a real gig poster. I wanted more, so I kept listening to my favorite clean uplifting rappers.

I used a drawing pad and made the face look a lot better. I spent a really long time drawing this face and making it look special. I felt adding a shadowwould help add a three dimensional look, and I wanted the face to be something that really grabbed the attention of viewers. I missed the rings from an earlier draft and wanted to find a way to bring it back, without being boring and basic. I used the reflect tool and reflected each word around the center of the earth. It was a lengthy process but really made the poster feel better.

I wanted to make the face pop a little bit more so I enlarged the head. I listened to critiue and cleaned up the lines on the neck as well as made the Earth bigger. I also thought that the old moon was boring so I enlarged the moon and added half tones and lowered the opacity of the other moons so that it would look as if time had passed. I played around with halftones in the shadow of the head, but felt that it looked best on only the moons.

All in all I really enjoyed this project. I spent hours upon hours but this time it really did not feel like it. I learned a lot of great lessons and put my best effort. I feel that this project is the beginning to a lot more very successful projects. There really is no limit to what one can do except for the limits we place on ourselves. I know that I deserve an A on this project because it is a piece of me. It is very original and reflects the deep emotion that music plays on my being. I am super grateful to have participated in this project and to have learned so much. It came a long way from the original blocked earth, but it was all worth the time and effort.
