Germantown Revitalization Project

This area was give by the teacher as an area of redevelopment, the location is Germantown, Philadelphia. The first image is about which buildings I was going to reuse for the project to give back to the community of Germentown.
This is on Chelten Avenue and Greene Street. These buildings are one floor stores that run along Chelten Avenue.
The proposed building for the area, now their three floors with shops still being used on first floor and residential housing on the second and third floor. The street Grid is also layout different were the bike is now protected by a barrier and the cars are on the outside.
This is Maplewood Mall, a hidden  street that dose not feel pedestrian open. yet has shops on the street.
The proposed Maplewood Mall will add sidewalks and signage that help the area grow.
A proposed building on Germantown Avenue, use to be one floor. Add more residential space for people.
The old Germantown Avenue and Chelten Avenue, major intersect. Germantoen Ave. has old trolley lines that are not being used.
The proposed streets crossing moves the bike line to the right of parking and removes the trolly tracks on Germantown Ave. yet the overhead lines will be keep for any further development.
This is the old YWCA building in Germantown, the building is going to be reused as a residential apartments with an idea for food truck parked in the open area between the building that have art work on them.
