ABOUT THE BOOK
In addition to the animated film this book brakes down the entire process from research to the final animations.
It packs six months of work in China into a collection of thoughts, ideas and history.
The book is part of my Master's thesis (University of Applied Sciences FH Joanneum) together with a shortfilm.
CONTENTS
– Animation history breakdown with focus on China and loops in animation.
– Insights into Chinese architecture, culture, religion, painting, language and harmony of humans & nature
– Detailed description of the thought process behind each animation and the entire project.
PRINT DETAILS
The first part is printed in black and red on white paper.
And the second part in black on red paper.
ABOUT THE PHOTOS
The presentation of the work was also an important part of the project. The concept behind the photos was mainly to pay homage to Ai Weiwei and his »Dropping a Han Dynasty Urn«.
THE COVER
The visual element on the book is a new interpretation of a Chinese Chop (seal).
It consists of the three symbols »Chris« that I received at Tongji University in Shanghai.
