Rave Against Fascism

This spring the local party crew Awesome Collective celebrates its 2nd anniversary and tenth event. For the first time the concert isn't hosted in a youth centres or hall but in a "real" club. Furthermore the collective's resident deejays get support by an experimental live band and a guest dj.
April is going to be a busy month so we decided to "recycle" an old design from an party that was cancelled. I colored the monochrome advertisement and added some details like gaps and cracks on the wall. Of course the information got updated too.
The original design that was updated for this event.
As the slogan reads "Rave Against Fascism" I had to create associations to fascism through my design. I went with the wall and barbed wire because these are the reifications of the most important traits of fascism: Exclusion from an constructed elite collective and violence against all excluded ones.

In order to create some contrast to past concepts I used a less neon-styled colour scheme. The bright red and golden yellow are an ironic allusion to soviet propaganda.
