Picasso and I is a series of books to commemorate the history of Pablo Picasso. This book is designed with a modern approach due to the target audience, especially to aim at youngsters. It is used to introduce and educate people about Picasso, as well as how Picasso got to influence art society today. This publication expresses messages and ideas through experimental visual and typography language. It contains “Picasso’s journal and his artworks”, “Picasso inspired”, and a poster.

Book A - The Journey of Picasso
Book A is about Picasso’s journal and his artworks. This book introduces Picasso in a playful art direction which completely different from art history textbook. The feature artworks are large and occupied 3/4 of the page layout as people todays are easily attracted by visual rather than text. Although only 1/3 of the layout are text, the typography is important to experiment with hierarchy, colour, typefaces and mood in order to achieve the balance in between both text and visual.
Book B - Picasso Inspired
Pablo Picasso is known across the world as one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. The influence of Pablo Picasso still strongly felt among people today. Book B is about Picasso’s influences on the author. It shows how the author get inspiration from Picasso’s maters-piece and apply the technique or elements on her artworks.
