For my ENP166 course during my Junior year of college, we were given assignments based on creating interfaces for clients. For this assignment we created the interface for a GE App for their latest smart fridge. Therefore I created a whimsical looking App that is very simplistic and uses nice muted tones. The images I did not create myself came from the Noun Project to help create images for the story of the app I was creating.
These two images are of the original loading screen - meant to replicate a refrigerator door - and the home screen - a checkerboard of all the important menu options that anyone using the smart fridge may need.
These 5 images represent the 5 main functionalities of the fridge - the shopping list, the display message, the Spotify accessibility, and the temperature control features. Each has a hamburger menu to view other menu features, the current temperature of the fridge, and home button at the top. These functionalities I deemed most useful at any given time. This was a really great project to think about spacing for an app and the functionality of each button involved and the placement / spacing required for a much smaller screen than a tablet let alone a computer.
