Gendered bias visualisation in London Newspaper

London Evening Standard data visualisation project
As a part of a Skillshare class, I created the below graphics and graphs to present data collected from The London Evening Standard newspaper, Friday 15 edition. The class project required research of a local newspaper and a data visualisation (in a graph form or other) of our findings. I wanted to assess the ratio between male and female journalists and the topics they covered.

The findings showed that women were given roles reporting on social justice, humanitarian issues, arts and fashion while men were predominantly given political, economic and international issues. Men made up over 74% of the writers included in the paper and had 4 times as many feature articles than their female counterparts.
