FUTURE FOSSILS

This image series embodies how our plastic waste will be part of nature in the future. While it’s unclear how long it will take for plastic to fully biodegrade, most likely our plastic waste will outlive us for generations.

By encapsulating modern plastic objects into natural materials, such as stone, amber or glacier ice, which take hundreds or even thousands of years to form, these images evoke the reality of what we leave behind. It’s a stark reminder of how our plastic waste will be both a fossil and a symbol of our current time and our negligence.
